What is SOC 2 Type 2?
SOC 2 is a security framework created by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). It tests how a service provider protects customer data against a set of Trust Services Criteria: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy.
There are two kinds of report. A Type 1 report checks that controls are designed properly at a single point in time. A Type 2 report goes further: an independent auditor tests whether those controls actually operated effectively over an extended period, typically several months, which is exactly what Archie has undergone.
Type 2 is evidence that security practices are followed day in, day out at Archie.
What this means for you
Workplace platforms handle sensitive information: who is in the office, who visited, who booked what, personal data and billing details. Whichever Archie product you use, SOC 2 Type 2 gives you independent assurance that this data is handled with care.
- Archie Desks & Rooms: employee booking and attendance data is protected by audited access and data controls.
- Archie Visitors: visitor records, documents and photos are handled under the same audited security practices.
- Archie Coworking: member, subscription and billing information is covered by controls an auditor has tested.
It also makes your own vendor reviews easier. You can share our report with your security, IT and procurement teams instead of working through long questionnaires.
