This release brings faster check-ins, easier desk and room booking, and a redesigned Rooms app to help employees move through the office with fewer taps.
Improved touchless check-in
Employees checking in via the tablet now just need to scan the QR code on their phone and they will be registered as present automatically. No tapping a shared screen – as soon as they have scanned, they’re logged as present in the system. This makes it a much cleaner way to track office occupancy in real time.
If you’re also running Archie Visitors, you get a unified view of exactly who’s on site (useful for everything from space planning to emergency headcounts). And your guests can now complete part of their check-in in advance.
Recurring bookings just landed on mobile
Your team can set up recurring desk reservations directly from the mobile app, no need to jump to a computer. Book the same desk every Tuesday this summer, see all your upcoming slots in one view, and instantly spot if there are any clashes in the timeframe. We’ve also refreshed time zone handling and available slot navigation, so you can find the right time wherever your team is working from.
The Rooms app has a fresh new look
The Archie Rooms app has been completely redesigned to make booking and managing meeting rooms easier right from the room display.
If a room is currently occupied, employees can now book it for a later time directly from the tablet. Meeting organizers can also end meetings early or extend them on the spot (depending on your booking policies), helping make better use of shared meeting spaces.
Need another room? The new Find spaces view shows other available meeting rooms in the building in real time, so it’s easy to find somewhere else to meet.
The update also introduces room issue reporting, QR codes that make it easy to continue on mobile, support for both landscape and portrait mode, and clearer room availability indicators that reflect your booking and check-in policies.

Check in without leaving Teams
If you’re living in Microsoft, we’ve reduced your tab tax. Everyone can now check into bookings directly on Teams, as well as easily check colleague availability when booking a room.
Dark mode is here
Just in time for summer, you can reduce the glare. Toggle Archie to dark mode whenever you like in settings.
