Your visitors have a new way to check in, there are time-saving updates for your day-to-day admin workflows, and a handful of upgrades that quietly make everything run just that little bit better behind the scenes.

Member and visitor wins, including a new way to check in

If you host events or have peak visitor periods, touchless check-in will be a welcome addition for your front desk – one tablet can welcome multitudes. For visitors checking into your space, whether walk-ins or reservations, they now only need to scan the QR code displayed to complete the entire process on their phone.

Members also benefit from the touchless check-in: once scanning the QR code, their presence is automatically registered. Again, this avoids any bottlenecks during peak arrival times. 

Advance check-ins and welcome videos can now speed up the visitor process before your guest walks in the door. As soon as they get the invite, visitors can sign relevant agreements and complete forms on their phone. When they arrive, the admin is already out of the way.

Dark mode is here – and some more app enhancements

Anyone inclined to dark mode can now toggle their settings to enjoy Archie Dark. And expect, in general, a faster and more reliable app performance, with: 

  • Links from an Archie email or push notification now opening the right screen in the app,
  • Invoice links directed also to the app for reliable 3D secure verification, 
  • Easier options for recurring bookings on mobile,
  • An updated map view.

Behind-the-scenes time savers for admins

New automations and reliable sync

Time to expand your workflows; new Zapier automations are possible whenever a day pass check-in occurs, if a lead form is submitted, and/or when new purchases are made from the store.
Archie also has an updated QuickBooks connection – in keeping with the latest Intuit requirements – with new webhook events supported (for more reliable syncing).

Faster exports & downloads

Need your data elsewhere? You can now export your Archie visit list to a spreadsheet for reporting or migration. And for invoices, bulk downloads now compress as a zip file, making large exports faster and more reliable.

Bulk visit creation

You can now import contacts directly from a visit list to create new visitors in bulk – no copy-pasting required. It’s especially useful for events, when you need to register a large group at once.

The Rooms app has a fresh new look

The Archie Rooms app has been completely redesigned to make meeting room booking easier from the room display.

If a room is currently occupied, members can now book it for a later time directly from the tablet. Meeting organizers can also end meetings early or extend them on the spot (depending on your booking policies), helping make better use of shared meeting spaces.

Need another room? The new Find spaces view shows other available meeting rooms in the building in real time, making it easy to find another space without leaving the display.

The update also introduces room issue reporting, QR codes that make it easy to continue on mobile, support for both landscape and portrait mode, and clearer room availability indicators based on your booking and check-in policies.

Smooth-running systems

Customized notifications and improved communications

  • Admins and members can adjust their own email or SMS notifications to prioritize and reduce noise.
  • Space owners now have clearer control over which admin roles can change notification settings.
  • Admins can also now preview how an email template looks on web or mobile to adjust content and layout before sending. 
  • Quote previews look more polished with improved downloads. 

Papercut Hive printing integration

We’ve strengthened Archie’s Papercut Hive coworking printing integration. Set your pricing and let it run: members’ print usage data is tracked and exported for automated billing.

Security and access improvements

  • Stronger passwords are now necessary when resetting credentials or onboarding new users. 
  • You can also limit self-registration to specific email domains and restrict certain pages from being embedded without authorization. 
  • The Salto door lock integration is more reliable, and in the app, temporary door access links open correctly.
